Mental Health
Support
Mental health challenges can affect many aspects of a person’s life, including their ability to cope with daily routines, maintain relationships, and feel a sense of purpose or stability. These challenges can lead to feelings of isolation, low self-esteem, or a loss of confidence. At Zash Support Work, we recognise how important it is to provide compassionate, understanding support during these times. We focus on building trust, encouraging independence, and helping individuals regain control over their lives—always with dignity, respect, and empathy at the core of our support.
We support individuals facing a range of mental health and cognitive challenges, helping them to live more independently whilst receiving the care they need. This includes:
Our specialists can also provide counselling if required to assist with our clients ongoing support plan.
Mental Health Awareness Week
This week marks Mental Health Awareness Week, a time to raise awareness, encourage conversations, and remind people that mental health matters just as much as physical health.
In the UK, around 1 in 4 people experience a mental health problem each year, and around 1 in 5 adults live with conditions such as anxiety or depression at any given time.
Despite how common mental health struggles are, many people still feel uncomfortable speaking openly about them. Fear of judgement, stigma, embarrassment, or simply feeling like they must “carry on” can stop people from reaching out for support. Recent research also shows that stigma around mental health still exists across the UK, particularly around severe mental illness.
This year’s theme is “Take Action” , recognising that awareness is important, but meaningful change happens when people feel heard, supported, and understood.
At ZASH Support Work, we believe kindness, patience, understanding, and community support can make a real difference. Sometimes the smallest actions such as checking in with someone, listening without judgement, or simply reminding someone they are not alone can have a powerful impact.
If you or someone you know is struggling, support is available, and speaking up is a sign of strength, not weakness.
